Pennine Academies Yorkshire (Pennine) is proposed to merge with Impact Education Multi Academy Trust (Impact), with the transfer taking place on 1 September 2026.


What this means for applicants:

  • If your employment begins before 1 September 2026:
    • Your employment will start with Pennine and will automatically transfer to Impact on 1 September 2026 under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE). Your pay, continuous service and pension (TPS/LGPS) will remain protected. 
  • If your employment begins on or after 1 September 2026:
    • Your employment will start directly with Impact, who will be your employer from day one. Impact Education Multi Academy Trust policies and procedures will apply from your first day of employment. Your pension entitlement (TPS/LGPS) and relevant continuous service will be recognised in line with statutory requirements. Regardless of your start date, you will receive a full induction and onboarding, and we will
      support you throughout the transition process
